Our Team

Board members in Belgium:

- President & Founder -

Antoine is a Doctor in Zoology and Bio-Engineering, as well as a Bio-Engineer in Forestry and Wildlife Management. His PhD research, based in South Africa, focused on the possibility of monitoring lions using digital 3D models of their tracks. Antoine was born in Belgium but spent his entire childhood in Africa (Zaïre, Madagascar, Senegal, Mauritania and Niger). He is passionate about tracking, nature and photography.

- Secretary & Founder -

Jacques is a Civil Engineer with a Master Degree in Computer Science and a MBA. Born in Belgium, Jacques has lived seven years in Argentina and six months in Spain. He has worked as a Computer Scientist for more than 20 years. He currently works as an International Business Development manager in markets such as Latin America, Western and Eastern Europe, the Baltic and Middle East. He is passionate about travel, photography and trekking.

- Treasurer & Founder -

Julian is an accountant. He was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) but he now lives in Belgium. He works for his own accounting company. Julian has helped various non-profit organisations and associations. He is also the treasurer of a rugby club in Belgium. His passions are sports, nature and travel.

- Founder -

Philippe is a Professor at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech (University of Liège, Belgium). He is in charge of the Forest Resources Management Laboratory. His work includes the monitoring of forest resources (forest inventory, biomass estimation and wildlife surveys) and forest dynamics (forest growth modeling). Since 2011, he focuses on the use of 3D-high resolution data acquired by different systems (drones, LiDAR, aerial and terrestrial photogrammetry) in the context of environmental monitoring.

- Director -

- Director -

Nico is an Associate Professor based at the Mammal Research Institute, University of
Pretoria (South Africa). His background in African Mammalogy, Population Ecology, Wildlife Management, and Zoology provided a range of skills and experience
driving his ongoing diverse research that spans across large mammal ecology topics. He is the Principal Investigator for the Marion Island Marine Mammal Programme (MIMMP). Based on his photogrammetry
research within the MIMMP, he has co-developed a terrestrial mammal photogrammetry research programme.

- Director -

Julien is a qualified engraver based in South Africa. He works for the best knife makers and jewellers of the country. Beyond being an artist, Julien has an extensive experience in field guiding and tracking. Same as his brother Antoine, his childhood in Africa has engendered a profound love for this continent. He is passionate about tracking animals on foot, adventure and free diving.
